This tournament does not count, especially when Niners played vs a team who is the equivalent of a good high school team. The big boys play in the NCAA Tournament. But I guess everybody will be happy to play Cincy again I guess.

Niners finally win in March and we are playing Cincinnati, order has been restored to the universe.

I actually had fun at the game tonight for the first time in a while. A lot of people were around me that rarely get to sit down low and it made for a better atmoshpere.
Everything, band, goldduster, popcorn, is better when you win.
Not only a win, but we managed to have the game in hand with over 5 minutes left. They reminded me a lot of Pfeiffer, they were small, quick and would shoot anything that was close to an open shot.
It is only the NIT, but it still felt good to laugh a bit at a missed dunk with 30 seconds left. Who knew a walk-on could jump like that?
This was also a great warm-up for Cincy.
We played good team ball while staying determined but loose… maybe a little sloppy at times but Bobby commented on the new slick ball we had to use.

I don’t care who we beat, how bad/good they were, or who they lost to/beat!! it’s great to win in the post season…and what a little streak we could have…
going to take on an on rival cincy!! if we… no wait…WHEN we win there we may have the opportunity to get revenge on wake…and who knows maybe these refs will actually call a foul on eric williams (aka satan) in this possible rematch!! I love the possibilities, and another thing

One thing that might be in our favour is that when Friday comes, Cincy would’nt have played a game in about 10 days or so.
We will be nice and ready but I still think we lose. Cincy has a great starting 5 and had some great wins @Syracuse, West Virginia, Louisville and others
I got on the internet at 6pm tonight and purchased four tickets first rown section 111. Right behind the Gold Dusters. It was sad to see 8,000 empty seats, but the last time I got to sit that close was when I was recognized for being the two millionth fan(oh yeah, that’s right).
I was the only one screaming during first half Georgia So. foul shots. I was rattling off stats from the program and calling the players by name, telling them that they shouldn’t be missing shots, asking a 6’ 4" junior guard from Ft. Lauderdale if he would look at me, etc. I illicited many stares and a handful of laughs from the very few people seated near me.
Tonight was fun. The team played well. They would’ve have beaten most teams in the country tonight, granted the opponents wouldn’t get hot from 3. Mitchell drove to the basket hard like the old days, Nance swatting weak sh__, Dumptruck making that skinny guy take a charge and almost killing him, CW working his butt off, three walk-ons at one time. This win felt good. Congrats to those who did come.
I noticed the P/A kept saying during the NIT scores, “Fair Dickinson.” He must of had an abbreviated form of the school’s name in front of him because I never heard the “leigh.”
