My wife and I need a place to stay. Needs to not be in the hood (nothing on Freedom Dr., Baties Ford Rd., etc.) needs to be within a 20-30 minute drive of downtown, no roommates, we have 2 cats, and needs to be under $600/month.

I’d say I will offer you a room in my house for rent lower than $600, but I don’t know if I can offer you and your wife. I live there, so that might get a little crowded. I will ask around for you and let you know what I find.

He is right. I looked at moving there before we opted for a house.
Also…you may wanna check www.rentclicks.com out as well. Sometimes you can find a small house on there pretty cheap. I know that’s where my roommates and I found our house…though it’s a huge house for 4 people…but I remember there were some smaller ones on there as well.
