Jacob Green - 2006

6’8" 185lb power forward. He is from DC, and has us listed as a school of interest. He will probably end up at Wake, GT, or MD though.

He is hearing from Miami, Syracuse and Fordham. He has taken unofficial visits to Fordham, William & Mary, and Wake Forest. He still has no offers.

blh, you’re update is listed as one day from now, are you clairvoyant? Maybe you can tell me if Pittsburgh is going to get involved with him.

If signed, he’d rival KenKay Jones as the skinniest Niner ever.

From the Bona board:

JACOB GREEN

Jacob Green is a 6-8, 195 pound junior forward from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC, who was one of the most watched underclassmen in the country during the evaluation period last summer. According to his coach, Jacob was seen by Clemson, Duquesne, Florida State, Fordham, Georgetown, Loyola, Maryland, Michigan, Notre Dame, Providence, St. Bonaventure, Syracuse, Charlotte, Villanova, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. He was at Maryland’s Midnight Madness last fall, and has also paid a visit to Wake Forest. His coach commented that Jacob has the ability to change shots… He’s a good rebounder and a great passer. He’s a very skilled four, he continued… For his size, he’s a great athlete. He just gets up and down the floor… has a nice face up jumper and can play at the elbows… He’s also very good with his back to the basket.

Cedric Maxwell was thinner than his guy as a freshman. With diet and weight training, they could probably fill him out.

We are still in the mode of trying to find sleepers. With scouting being so advanced, that is getting harder to do.

Jermaine Parker was pretty damn skinny, but he could block shots.
