Do you have a flair for organizing numbers? Do you enjoy keeping the trains (aka payables) running on time? Do you enjoy the steadiness of a well-prescribed workflow? And yet, do you jump to action when things get off track? And, even better, do you enjoy helping revamp or refine processes for improved workflow? If you find yourself nodding in agreement, read onā€¦

CustomInk is the ā€œdesign onlineā€ custom t-shirt company for groups and occasions. With over 600 team members or ā€œInkersā€ in three locations, we are passionate about the success and wellbeing of our team and have earned frequent recognition as a top workplace. Weā€™re an established and rapidly growing company looking for strong talent, eager to contribute and grow with us, to get on board.

ROLE
We seek a thorough, trustworthy and detail-oriented team player to help accurately and efficiently perform our core accounts payable functions. Youā€™ll be organized and meticulous while communicating effectively with others in a friendly environment. You will have a direct impact on financial reporting and analysis so you must be comfortable with deadlines and dealing with sensitive information. You will work closely with other members of the Finance team, while reporting to and receiving guidance from the Accounting Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for administering full-cycle accounts payable processes including reviewing and reconciling invoices, recording payables, preparing weekly check runs, and sending payments via check, wire and ACH. You will play an integral role in key financial procedures including month-end close, researching and resolving discrepancies. To be effective, you will need to have a thorough understanding of how each invoice and payment fits within the broader business.

On the day-to-day, you must thrive in a transactional work environment, be comfortable maintaining a consistent routine, and enjoy checking items off your ā€œto-doā€ list each day. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records for external vendors, including W-9s, invoices, and check stubs.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal team members by providing education on payable policies and procedures and responding to inquiries in a timely, friendly and helpful manner. You will reach out to team members to support them through the payables process. All the while, you will be building ongoing relationships with team members across CustomInk.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS
To be effective, you will need to take full ownership over your responsibilities, work independently, and think creatively to improve work processes. Accordingly, the key measures of success for this position will be:

Smoothness, efficiency and accuracy of accounts payable and monthly close processes
Maintaining targeted expectations for timeliness of payments and data-entry
Exercising a keen understanding of the full payment/invoice lifecycle and how it fits in the broader system
Effective communication and collaboration.

QUALIFICATIONS
Accounts payable involves much collaboration with various internal and external partners, therefore strong communication skills and an ability to build positive relationships is essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be strong in the following areas:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or relevant field and/or relevant experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Proven ability to be organized, detail oriented and accurate while meeting deadlines
Demonstrated data-entry and keyboard proficiency
Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical computations quickly and accurately
An understanding of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting a plus
Experience as a team lead is a plus as there are opportunities for advancement.

In addition, you must share our company values ā€“ practicing the Golden Rule, taking Ownership and driving and embracing Innovation.

Iā€™ll start posting pertinent openings at CustomInk as I hear about them. If anybody is interested, let me know and Iā€™ll set up a referral.[/quote]Lew, donā€™t recruit people to the shit hole that is DC.

The two most depressing years of my life were spent there.

Any Civil Engineers interested in a Water Resources position? My buddy says his company is looking for someone right out of school and engineers with 4-8 years experience. DM me if interested.

Donā€™t blame me for your decision to live in Maryland.

I lived in NoVa first.

The whole area is just a clusterfuck. Unless you live and work in the city, itā€™s a miserable place to live.

I also hated how nobody there gave a shit about the city. It was a means to an end. Nobody ever intends to stay there long term. In Charlotte, you have a lot of people that have taken ownership of the city and strive to make it a better place. DC is like the drunk whore you find a party. Good enough to stick your dick in for a good time, but not someone you want to marry.

Well, personally, I love it here and have surrounded myself with people who feel the same.

Donā€™t shit on an area just because you couldnā€™t positives in your time there.

Take your VA/MD pissing match to the shoutbox this thread is about helping fellow niners out with jobs.

I work for a small consulting engineering company in W-S. We provide engineering and design services for heavy industrial clients including RJ Reynolds, Duke Energy, Weyerhaeuser, local chemical manufacturers, etc. We need a senior (15+ years experience) mechanical engineer. Piping experience would be a plus. Must be registered in NC. VA registration a plus. Project management will also be one of the duties. Good people skills and client service a must. Our home office is in Charlotte, but need someone in Winston. Send me a resume if interested. tmichael@pentaengr.com

My company is currently in a massive hiring spree after getting bought by our biggest customer.

Weā€™re currently looking for IT folks (Web stack) in the following fields (formal job descriptions to follow when I get them):

  • Production Support
  • Business Analysts
  • Java developers

Please reply to thread if interested.

My company is looking for a Citrix admin. Open to various experience levels and salary will be commensurate with experience. Must have SOME actual recent work experience in Citrix, not just classes or Certs. We are open to newer Citrix admins as long as there is some experience In place and plenty of potential to grow.

Location is in Cabarrus county near 85 (near concord mills). This is a primarily remote position and will have 4 days at home, 1 in the office each week after the employee is on boarded.

This is a unique opportunity.

An experienced Citrix admin will come in and work with cutting edge tech in a very nice work environment and peer with an existing very senior and skilled Citrix admin.

Those with less experience will have the opportunity to vastly improve their skills and be mentored by that same senior admin within this work environment.

Netscaler experience is not required (but certainly will help) but you WILL learn Netscaler in this position.

This company is highly focused on technology and pays Charlotte market rates to get good talent out of the Charlotte market into Cabarrus county.

If you or someone you know is a Citrix admin and is looking for something new, please PM me for more detail.

If you are a local Niner fan this would be a good one. We are only about 20 minutes from campus (on the days you work from the office) and there is plenty of flexibility to work upgrades and changes around your schedule.

Overall a really nice place to work. Big enough to get access to good technology but small enough that your efforts will make a direct impact on te business. Very forward thinking management with regard to investment in IT.

Would love to see some applicants from the Niner family.

PM for details.

My company is looking for an entry-level Business Systems Analyst that will work in Incident Management for our web-based insurance enrollment platform.

A perfect candidate would be someone with an MIS degree or business degree with IT chops. Ideally somewhat familiar with SQL, web stack applications, and basic ITIL Incident Management.

If any of you guys can do technical sales we are looking for someone. There is no salary, but you take home 40% of the profit. We are looking for a territory salesperson in the Greensboro, NC area, but you can live in Charlotte as our office is there. This is not an office job as I have been there 5 times maybe this year. DM me if interested and you can check us out at www.aec-carolina.com

clt says profit?

my company has two senior Cybersecurity Engineer positions open. Both in operations. One we need a generalist who would do well with endpoint and email security, 3 - 5 years experience. The other a bit more specialized looking for a firewall specialist with 3 - 5 years of experience.

Could be a good opportunity for someone whoā€™s looking for a change.

We hope to have an intermediate generalist position soon, we would be looking for someone with at least a years experience in Cyber OR an experienced system admin in general IT who wants to move to Cyber.

Both positions are full remote, with very rare need to go onsite and typical on call rotation, change controls early evenings and weekends on occasion.

PM me for details if you or anyone in your network is interested.

Full remote FTMFW.

If I were younger I would seriously consider changing careers for that. Definite perk as long as you can sign off at 5pm.or whatever.

Job market is so hot right now. Iā€™m considering a move even though Iā€™ve only been at my current for 8 months. Someone approached me from my last gig with a perfect match to what Iā€™d like to do.

Iā€™ll probably be in an early grave if I stick where Iā€™m at. Highest stress job Iā€™ve ever had.

Cyber is a good place to be. Are you in cyber @Gassman ?

Yep. Those openings are on my team.
