In addition to potentially ending the St. Joeâs guyâs career with a broken arm, Chaney has tainted his own player. Every time that guy is put in, it will be suspect. If that guy fouls someone accidently hard, it could be seen as on purpose. That player will be 80, & people will still come up to him saying his own coach called him a âgoon.â Chaney has ruined his own playerâs life.
BULLSHIT!!! K did the same damn thing. Nobody got hurt, but not because K saidâ âFoul, but be easy about it.â
He told the guy to be physical with Paul, body him, push him, grab him, hit him. Youâre naive to believe otherwise.
Oh, BTW, fire Chaney. Itâs a chickenshit thing to do.
Whoa Whoa WhoaâŚ
Lets get this straight. Cheney told his guy to go in their and set some hard screens to emphasize a point to the ref. He didnât tell the kid to go out their pushing and shoving and throwing elbows. This Kid did that on his own. Chaney didnât tell the fans to spit on Bryant either.
Iâm no Chaney apologist. I think he deserves consequences for his actions, but some of you guys are out of hand. You donât think Coach Lutz, or half of the other coaches have sent a player in to send a message. If not then you are crazy.
Great post 49erFan. Youâre exactly right, its a part of sports. And i tend to like it!
Fire Chaney and bring in Bill Cosby

Dr. Huxtable likes to play the Jello Puddin Pop motion offense.
Chaney is just old and senile. He couldnât play in the NBA because he was black, and that color line was broken in the early fifties. Still crappy what he did, but oh well.
That St. Joeâs player handled it with class. Bryant admiited he grew up admiring Chaney (kid is a PHilly native) and said âit was just weirdâ.
Time has passed the old man by. Bow out (somewhat) gracefully Coach, while you can.
If Chaney comes to Halton, I think I might leave him alone this time. He might just stab me.
