With 2016 NCAA coming up, and last win was 2001, I guess we need 5 more years of patience? Why not make it a clean 2 decades…
(Insert ninerid list of who’s won 1 game since)
Well my list is of teams that have gone since us. It’s over 210 iirc which is even more sad.
The best quote of that article was about why Judy was confused that the players weren’t elated to stay and play for Price. They were all already gone, or otherwise were not going to sit around and find out if Price could coach. Standard culture in overall AD probably played into decision as well. Just stale. Needs an overhaul.
Competent AD coulda taken them for a Starbucks and built that bridge. Can’t blame those who left, they had 18 months of dumpster fire.
The kids that left probably have no idea who Price was and what he did back in the day. They weren’t even born.
I woulda thought the ties to the NBA would have carried some weight though

Judy Rose is the second longest standing AD of FBS schools. I believe we’ve had enough “patience” here at Charlotte.
Let’s look at the numbers:
130 - Total FBS programs now counting Coastal Carolina.
5 - Schools that have vacancies (including rutgers today)
21 - schools hired new ADs in 2015.
1 - The number of ADs with their school since the 80s (Utah, 1987)
8 - Have been with their current school since the 90s.
The average, not including vacancies, school has had their AD since 2009.
The median, not including vacancies, school has had their AD since 2012.

In Utah’s defense that AD deserves a job for life. They were no where NEAR a PAC school in 1987.

And Judy has done the same thing for us here…oh wait.

Decided with it being first year of FBS, i should add the Big East Conference and the A10.
Brings total to 153 schools, 148 hired ADs.
25 hired in 2015.
82 have been hired since 2011.
Utah still has the longest, Judy still second.
Count of ADs hired in the 90s increases to 11.
Average: 2009
Median: 2011.5
Sullivan says we need patience referring to patience with our new players. Scott spins that to refer to our recent troubles. Judy says patience is something most don’t have. We spin that to “Judy says you need patience” I can understand Scott doing that. He’s been slanting our coverage for some time now and frankly he can kiss my ass.
Judy wasted 5 years of patience by hiring Major. I would also say the majority of the fan base (not me) has been very patient with her. I’m on with giving Price time. He walked into a really crappy position, but Judy needs to go. It’s like she forgot she fired the winningest coach in program history and subjected us to five years of shit.
It is clear we will have patience with a new coach and a whole roster of new players. However, I think it is safe to say most have run out of patience with the AD.
Overall are we in a better place then when Judy started? To some we are because we have football now, but that is due to the tireless effort by a great group of students and alumni. Any competent AD would have seen the writing on a the wall and would have focused on football much earlier than we did, regardless of the position of the university administration or BOT in the past.
As a professional, at least for me personally, one would expect to push and achieve to the highest level and if they are not allowed to because of bureaucracy or leaders that don’t share their vision, then they look for a job where they won’t be held back. When someone doesn’t they essentially are punching the clock.
Up yours.
Talk about spin…
Read the article again without bias or preconceived notions. It is factual that the person who said we need patience is Sullivan and that it was in reference to patience with younger players. It is factual that Judy stated that most people don’t have patience. As I’ve stated many times and will state again, our AD has enough actual faults without fabricating stuff.
The closest her quote was to asking for patience was the hope that we realized they are trying to build something. I’m sure they are trying (and failing for a long time now). Anyway, asking for patience is somewhat different in tone from saying “you need patience”.
You aren’t by chance the latest incarnation of Metro, are you?

What does it matter? There’s no reading between lines here.
We haven’t been to the tournament in 10 years and we aren’t going to win 10 games this year, all while paying 2 coaches simultaneously for the 6th straight season.
