Wonder if there is any relation to Roman. (Upon review of his video, well, uh…not likely.)

Happy to have the depth. Wonder if this means that Rankin will be red shirted next year?

From his highlights, he hits the hole hard and has good vision in traffic. He doesn’t shy from contact.

Seems like more of an inside runner than a guy to burn you around the edge.

Looks really good.

If no injuries in the backfield, then yes.

Selected 2nd team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference for this past season:

Gabriel led the team with 155 rush attempts for 751 total yards on the season. He only lost seven yards for a net gain of 744 throughout the 2014 campaign, while putting in six touchdowns and averaging 82.7 yards per game. His longest rush clocked in at 79-yards long. The sophomore ranked 17[sup]th[/sup] nationally in rushes, 22[sup]nd[/sup] in yards per game and 23[sup]rd[/sup] in total yards amassed.

Glad he’s here. Needed the depth.

Where do community colleges find money for football?

they don’t spend it.

I have no idea how JuCo translates to FBS, but he could be an impact player.

Nick Cook and Brandon Dozier were standouts at Butler CC, which IIRC is in the same JUCO league. Coffeyville is another solid program in that league that generates FBS transfers.

I’d expect this kid to be an experienced, capable backup for Phillips, which is something we badly needed.

This could be one of the key signings of the year. Great great addition. Welcome!!

What year will he be?

[quote=“Hooner49, post:15, topic:29593”]What year will he be?[/quote]Will be here in the Fall. Although, he may come in the Summer (don’t know all the details).

So, he will be a Junior his first year at Charlotte.

He has a really nice burst on tape. Time will tell, but he looks like he will play quite a bit here. We needed him last year. Phillips gets tired quickly. It takes a lot of energy to constantly run by people and run over several more, each play.

What ever happened to this guy? He signed here a while ago then he’s gone…did I miss something?
