Bingo. I have season upper levels but with all the sold empty lower level seats each game that go unused, why not ask nnn if anyone isn’t planning on going so I can sit closer to the action
I wish people would show up just because there are five guys wearing the name “CHARLOTTE” on their chest. This is a plea to get over the incompetence of our coaches enough to get out to Halton to make some noise for our players on Thursday. This will be game #98 in a row for me at Halton Arena. Since it’s too early for a s. miss pre-game thread, I’ll mention this here. Sched sez it’s to be on ASN, but looks like wccb will only show it on their over-the-air digital channel 18.3. That sucks. This, after they show la tech/odu Saturday on their regular channel 18.1 which is over-the-air and TWC channel 11. That’s BS and I’ll let wccb know it.
There are likely licensing issues. ASN doesnt get first shot at every game

Maybe this is Judy’s way of “blacking out” the game to the general public because attendance has been so dismal. She could be taking a page out of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals playbook from the last couple of years. Of course, I know she doesn’t have the authority to do this (at least I don’t think she does, but knowing Judy…) but it’s fun to speculate.

Also hate to say it but would think they get bigger numbers for the re-runs of Big Bang Theory during the 7-8pm timeslot and The CW programming during primetime than a Charlotte vs LA Tech game will provide.

Why do we continue to push this Blackout promotion? Its stupid. Every year we do it and only half the people in Halton go along with it. Which makes it look even more stupid. Can we not be more creative to come up with a better promotion than a Blackout?

I KNEW what their reasons were going to be, y’all. I just wanted to let them know I didn’t LIKE their reasons, whatever they were. Anyway… Here’s their reply: Thanks for the note. We endeavor to carry as many 49er games as possible on our primary channel, but games that have later start times, such as the 530p Southern Miss game conflict with network and syndicated contract commitments. That is why we move the games over to one of our sister stations. We want to support the team and offer the games to the fans, but we must also honor the contracts we have in place.
We appreciate your question and understand your frustration. We will continue to place as many of the games on WCCB as we can accommodate.
