Let the new RPI bashing begin

The big boys are reading the tea leaves and don’t like what they are seeing: mid-majors with high RPI for paying their dues on the road.

Every coach in America saw this coming and knew they better get out on the road or else.

I hope the Selection Committee doesn’t completely throw it out. This is the wakeup call.

Schedule the Charlottes and Southern Illinois for home and homes. If you beat us on our turf, our RPI goes in the crapper and you have nothing to fear come Selection Sunday.

Let Punxatawny Phil do your scheduling and come out of your hole in February and you have nobody to blame but yourself.

This is all about money and the “Haves” trying to hold on to it. Buying home wins keeps the fans happy, the coffers full, the old RPI fat, and the publicity machine rolling. Money begets world class facilities, top notch coaches, a full slate of scholarships.

It really makes me appreciate what Charlotte has been able to do despite the deck stacked against us.

Keep the new RPI and let this season be an object lesson.
