Long Beach State defeats UCSD in exhibition

The “Left Coast” Niners visit Halton Arena on November 19th. Long Beach State opens its exhibition season tonight versus UC San Diego (DII). Here’s what Charlotte will be facing in a couple of weeks:

F-3-Shawn Hawkins (6-6, 225, Jr., Pittsburgh, PA)
F-10-Cody Pearson (6-4, 198, Sr., 3.6 ppg, 3.4 rpg)
C-21-Anthony Coleman (6-11, 215, Sr., 7.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg)
G-1-Jibril Hodges (6-2, 189, Jr., 10.2 ppg, 2.0 rpg)
G-20-Kevin Houston (5-10, 180, So., 5.3 ppg, 3.3 apg)[/b]

The LBSU 49ers, 6-21 last season, aren’t expected to be much better this season. They were picked 9th in the 10-team Big West Conference. As such, I expect the “Right Coast” Niners to roll, roll, roll!!! :clap:

FWIW, Long Beach State defeated UC San Diego 78-43. Looks like JUCO transfer Shawn Hawkins might be a guy we’ll have to clamp down on. The 6-6 forward led the LBSU 49ers with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Sophomore 6-3 guard Louis Darby came off the bench to add 19 points. They have another exhibition this week versus Alaska-Anchorage.

Can the 19th get here soon enough?!!!
