Well I guess we donât know whether letting Cherry play point for 30 minutes a game will help either if we donât try it, but come on guys. Is the logic here that Lester will be happier if he starts and therefore begin to play better? Will he shoot better? Will he defend better? What case are you making? If anything, I think Lester fans would ask why his average minutes have dropped by 2-3 per game over the last couple of months.

I have no idea, but think letting your leading scorer start a game or two to see what happens might not be a bad idea given how the season has played out.

Donât get me wrong, I donât mind starting Lester. If it makes a difference I will be shocked, but if we are at the point where we are just thowing crap against the wall to see if it sticks then why not. Oh yeah, I think we are. :
exactly NWA. I find it funny how some posters act as if they KNoW for a fact that nothing would change at all by changing out a starter, beyond any doubt. I think what most are saying is why the heck would you not try it especially given that Lester is your leading scorer. thatâs not exactly throwing something at a wall to see if it sticks either. I would say starting your leading scorer is pretty much a given for 90% of teams.
The 90% while I know you are throwing it out there, to go back to my original post, does anyone know of another leading scorer that comes off the bench?
clt doesnât watch the nba, but clt assumes that Lebron James comes off the bench.
It keeps him humble.

BTW, its dangerous to assume that you know what others assume
All true, but I will tell you one more thing that we all (Major, fans, etc.) DO know . Lester hasnât started, therefore none of us KNOW the effect. We are just trying to make educated guesses.
I donât think it would change much considering he plays starter minutes, but I donât see why we shouldnât at least try it.
Of course, we usually start games pretty well and then fall apart.
If I was a coach and had been losing these games starting my leading scorer is something I would probably try at least once. Might not work, but itâs not some crazy out there suggestion. As 2k said our problems are multiple and simply starting Lester doesnât solve them - in fact I am not sure they solve any of them, but hell why not give it a go. Not like it is going to ruin our NCAA potential.
What if Lester doesnât want to start?
What if Lester doesnât want to start?[/quote]
If we have a freshman leading scorer who doesnât want to start I donât really want him on the team. No wonder we canât put teams away if we donât have a driven desire and killer instinct. Plus at this point he is the coach and his job is to win games - which we arenât doing. So find a solution that is different than what we are doing that might result in a win. If that is to start Lester then what he wants doesnât really matter to me. Kind of like if he doesnât want to play defense - his desire isnât really factored in. I am the coach and this is what we are going to do.
Yo, that was a joke brah.

Hell would freeze over?
LOL Well the way things are going ya never know around here anymore.
