Nice to see Birmingham is so stoked about UAB basketball.

Thanks for the links run.

BTW, here is a site for getting around those pesky registrations when you want to read an article. Just put in the site address (i.e. www.charlotte.com) and it will give you a login and password. http://www.bugmenot.com

In all fairness to the Post-Herald, they don't post the printed edition on the internet until the following day. I will check back tomorrow. They do a very good job of covering UAB sports.

Better yet, download the best browser onteh planet mozilla.org’s firefox and then get the bugmenot plugin for it. Then when you get to a site like that, right click and select bugmenot and the browser will do the work for you…

Finally got through all the pieces posted today. Some pretty decent stuff, as well as some writers who are clueless (I don’t believe the guy at the Cincy Post realizes that C-USA moved its offices from Chicago to Dallas!). Must admit I was very pleasantly surprised with the Observer this A.M…

GO NINERS!!!

You can leave early, then. I too was pleasantly surprised by the hometown paper. Nice job. Looking forward to more of the same.

Hattiesburg American: Golden Eagles picked 10th in preseason poll

Withers is the Conference’s top returning rebounder, averaging 9.5 per game, and posted 16 double-doubles (the NCAA’s fourth-best total).

Jackson Clarion-Ledger: C-USA enjoying its depth — for now

Muscle programs like Louisville, Memphis, Cincinnati, Charlotte, DePaul and Marquette have maintained or regained their national reputations, bringing the bright lights of national exposure into their valuable television markets.

Still nothing from the Birmingham Post-Herald, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, Houston Chronicle (which did do a piece on the Big 12!), or Tampa Tribune. Hmmm…
