You can find the Memphis-Charlotte game. Just click on VIDEO.
Now this is not free, but it is very cheap. It only costs $4.95. That cost would cover a months worth of listening to Memphis games, though I’m sure you don’t care about anything but the Memphis-Charlotte game but IMO I think it is worth it to pay that price for watching the game.
I’ll be watching via the internet since I don’t live in Memphis. I’ve watched the last game that was offered via the internet and the picture came across VERY clear.
Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know for those who didn’t.
has anyone tried “watching” a game over the internet"? is it worth it or should you just listen to the radio? I don’t have cable internet access, only DSL, a bit slower, will this impact it? thx

Depends on the speed of your DSL. My guess is you'll be fine. If you buy the normal DSL, it wil certainly work. But most places sell a scaled down DSL for a cheaper price that is like 1/4 the speed of their normal plan. DSL in general is half the speed of cable, but it should be more than enough for the video stream...

I'm going to give it try. I hope I can get home at 5, sign up and see it at game time. Just hope it can be blown up to full screen. GO NINERS!!!
I've watched a game over the internet already (Memphis @ TCU) and the picture came in almost as clear as tv and I had no interruptions.
I am on cable though. Can’t answer the DSL question.
don’t know if this will change before gametime, but when I click on the video link, the gamechannel pops up, but without any further link to video, only audio.
I signed up and was watching the video from the Memphis-TCU game. You can go to full screen mode if you want but you will lose some sharpness of the pic, it still looks pretty good though. It certainly beats having to listen to the game on the radio. I’m guessing we will have to put up with Memphis broadcasters though !!
Austin, I went to the Memphis Yahoo page and clicked on the Video link for the Charlotte game. When the Yahoo media window comes up there is a link to sign up. You will need a Yahoo ID and I think you have to setup a Yahoo wallet in order to pay for it (I already had one). You can setup your Yahoo wallet by signing into Yahoo and clicking on the My Account link at the top of the screen. The My Account page will then have a link on the right hand side for setting up your Yahoo wallet. Here is the link for the Memphis Yahoo page:
if this is a personal/home router, you won’t have anything to worry about (as long as your other users aren’t streaming video, while running kazaa, and playing some everquest type game)… if its from work and a corporate router… thats another story.
It’s up for me too, looks good !! Late arriving crowd. Listening to the Memphis announcers getting ready to do the TV telecast is amusing. I wonder if they realize their being recorded for the webcast.
