Agreed. My only question is was he involved in hiring any of the coaches who won the NCs or were they inherited hires? Floridaās football progam has been pretty bad recently.
Iām happy we are getting a new AD and glad it wasnt someone internal. Also glad he seems to come from great pedigree. But I despise his UNC connection. Overall pretty excited to see where our athletics can go the next 2-3 years!
You have to wonder if Hill showed more interest in the job. Like Esten was using this as leverage. Also wonder what role Rose will have. Has to be a weird vibe knowing she will be around at the same time.

I think he was pretty influential in their bball hire after Donovan, White is the coach there, pretty damn good one.

He was Chapel Hill, which means he will always be Chapel Hill, but Hill belongs to us now. Johnny Harris is Chapel Hill, and he gave us much football love. I would never trade away the support from Johnny Harris because he is also Chapel Hill. I just need to see real improvement and winning results. I am sick of Purgatory, or has this been Hell?
In addition to Harris being Chapel Hill, you can add the likes of Irwin Belk and Doug Orr.
For those unfamiliar with those names, the former sponsored the NC General Assembly bill that created UNCC and the latter was the Vice Chancellor who hired Jeff Mullins to resurrect the menās basketball program following the failed Clyde Walker + Hal Wissel era.
Nah. This was forseeable. Itās lukewarm. Not angry not excited. Phil was taking the UNC guyā¦ Iām cautiously optimistic but think itās a mistake long term. Letās see who he gets for hoops.
My thoughts exactly.

Andy Kennedy would be very mindful of Michael Whiteās opinion.
Think heāll make a guest appearance tonight ???
Iām counting on it. Iād rather he be making a few phone calls, but ya gotta get out with the rabble. (Thatās us)
I doubt he is here, lets be real. He interviewed on Monday, flew home, was offered and accepted, and heāll be back on Tuesday for the press conference. If you were him, would you want to come watch us play our last 1-2 games?
