In the biz journal article, it talks about how football attendance is down 4000 a game and hoops is down about 5000 a game, but then says “a small but vocal group of Charlotte fans wanted Rose gone” LOLOLOLOLOL

That’s 1/2 of the basketball arena and 1/3 of the BRAND NEW football arena have just stopped showing up. Phil has the worst “smartest guy in the room” syndrome I have ever encountered. Dubois also had a side bar with Spamberg, and he wanted to reiterate how small that group is and that Judy was NOT FORCED OUT.

WOW!! I thought AD’s were appointed for life. I’m sorry, time to turn the page.
Contract details:
Charlotte signed Hill to a five-year contract through 2023, paying him $400,000 annually. Rose makes $300,000. Dubois, the chancellor, told me the school knew it would have to pay more to land a candidate from more-established athletics programs.Hill will be paid $250,000 per year in base salary plus $150,000 in “additional compensation,” according to the contract. Like Rose, he will receive a car allowance and a country club membership.
Smaller perks in the agreement include 10 football season tickets and 5 men’s basketball season tickets plus four to six seats for any basketball tournament or football bowl games the school plays in.
This board has taken a big turn from when Hill was announced as a candidate. Responses such as, underwhelmed, Hill is a non-starter, UNC Grad hell to the no and Hill’s resume is not good, this is a no brain decision. Now after a few interviews it’s a love fest!
I for the record was happy with either candidate, a guy like that from UFlorida? Never in a million years did I think we’d be in the running for someone with his qualifications from that kind of an athletic department.

Very much like what he has said so far, and I believe him as well, which is big for me.
However, Actions > Words.
He talked about all the life changes he was trying to cram into the next month or so - new job, moving, getting married… well add making perhaps the most important hire of at least his initial tenure to the list. This MBB HC hire will set the tone for his entire run as AD.
No pressure Mike 
I’m rooting for him, and for us. I am encouraged by how connected and focused / prioritized he is. I believe he will nail this one. I believe he is already thinking everything I just typed and agrees.

Another thing that stood out that Hill said was that our basketball program has more history, tradition, and success right now than Florida did when he started working there.
He isn’t wrong, Florida didn’t do much in basketball until mid 1990s.
Based on resumes alone Hill wouldn’t have been my choice but I wasn’t sitting in the interviews either. Im going to keep an open mind and give him a fair chance to impress me. I’ll judge his actions more so than his words.
