Jeez, I know its NCCU, but damn… 0-13? Damn. Just…damn.

How many of these games would you think the Eagles would be favored in? They have played 2 home games. Oddly, they are playing Longwood in back to back games and Texas-Pan American 3 times this season!

Good point, HP. NCCU has played some tough teams, has played away, and probably hasn’t been favored in any games this season.

Still, NCCU has lost their 13 games this season by a combined, get this…551 points. That’s an average loss margin of 42 points. I can understand playing some tough teams, and I can understand being new to D-I, but holy crap. These are video game numbers.

I’ll take out the 7 teams NCCU wouldn’t be expected to win against…Wake, Kent State, Arkansas, ODU, Tulsa, Drake, USC. That leaves 6 teams they might have a shot at…

Florida Gulf Coast, RPI of 299.
High Point, RPI of 338.
Jackson State, which is 1-10.
Texas-Pan American, RPI of 303.
Winston-Salem State, is, well, Winston-Salem State.
UNCW is having an ugly year.

Just against these 6 teams in somewhat “winnable” games, NCCU has managed to lose all 6 by an average margin of 13 points.

I mean…these are video game numbers. It’s just so odd.

Also, I can’t believe I did an in-depth analysis of NCCU’s season. I am officially a loser.

Go Niners!!!

Yeah, it looks like UNCC really sucks this year.

Yeah, it looks like UNCC really sucks this year.

:lmao:

Atleast UNCC didn’t lose to Duke by 40 again.

Not a 49er game of interest, but I’m going to a buddy’s house (who goes to State) to watch the State/Marquette game. He came with me to the game yesterday so I figured I’d watch the game with him.

NC Central should have scheduled USC-Upstate (0-9), Houston Baptist (0-11), NJIT (0-10), or the troika of winless teams from the SWAC (Mississippi Valley State, Southern, and Texas Southern - a combined 0-34!). 344 teams is just way too many in Division I!

I may not disagree but keep in mind…that’s what many could say in a couple years when we’ll be hoping to join the ranks in football. I guess there’s something to be said for programs that would rather stink it up at the top level than compete at a lower rank. That being said, I believe NJIT didn’t win a game all last year, yikes. Has to be bad for moral and school spirit?

NJIT has ther NCAA record for the worst losing streaking ever. its at something like 40-50 games in a row.

NC Central is collecting some nice paychecks to pay for the other bus rides.

They can come close to funding their basketball budget with the paychecks from these games: Wake Forest, Kent State, Tulsa, the South Padre Island Invitational, the Iowa Realty Invitational, Arkansas, South Carolina, Michigan, Miami, NC State and Kansas State. The only games where the buy would not be large are Old Dominion and Duquesne. The game with the Wolfpack will cost them 15 buffet meals at the Golden Corral and pocket the change.

The games with Florida Gulf Coast, High Point, Winston-Salem State, Colgate and Maryland Eastern Shore are likely parts of a home-and-home series.

The Eagles play these teams home and away this season (8 games): Chicago State, Texas-Pan American, Savannah State and Longwood.

Holy hell, Temple just Mofstra’d.

NA, I did the same thing when I saw the score. Stunning.

From Dionte Christmas…

"The last couple of games, we had it right there in our hands but we couldn't put it away," Christmas said. "After the Tennessee win, we thought we were better than we were. We've just got to go back and reevaluate ourselves."

Philly.com: Owls come up short in Calif.

Of course, I would ask Fran Dunphy why schedule a game literally on the other side of the country right before Christmas. Hmmm…

And I’m scratching my head over the Saint Louis-DePaul score as the Blue Demons are mediocre at best this season. According to Tom Timmerman, it was played before about 250 “fans” in Vegas. Apparently the waitresses at the Orleans were worth it, though!

Typical A-10 team. Just like us last year…we beat ranked Clemson & Davidson teams and got owned by Hofstra and Monmouth, all within a few weeks.
