Worth the watch?
Yes, but it’s missing something. It’s definitely under lit (pet peeve) and the story, which is based on a true story, doesn’t play out as well as a top level cop / crime movie. It does have several good qualities but I don’t want to comment on what those are - trying not to spoil it.
In all honesty, it came off as high budget episode of Chicago PD with a higher end script for that show.
7/10. Maybe 7.5. I enjoyed it but I don’t know how far out of my way I’d go to watch it again. Which is surprising given the cast.

Wasn’t ever into this, but my siblings were…
MOTU are the first toys I remember wanting for presents. The cartoons since the original have been good but not great. The best was probably the early 2000s version that aired on Cartoon Network.
I am hoping the new movie stays true to the original cartoon.
It looks a lot like Guardians of the Galaxy to me. Maybe too much?
Watched Song Sung Blue last night. Surprisingly good. Jackman and Hudson have good chemistry especially when singing together.
Don’t watch or read anything else about it before you see the movie. ![]()
We watched it just after Christmas. Really enjoyed it. I was astonished how much of the story was actually true when I did a little googling after the movie.

I don’t excited about project announcements often anymore because Hollywood has destroyed so many IPs. I can’t help myself with this one though. Highlander with Cavill and Chad Stahelski (John Wick director). That could be phenomenal.
I’ve been burned too many times. I’m pessimistic.

Could have sworn she was doing press recently and maybe even a home alone reunion… shocking.
Sorry to hear that. Been a fan of O’Hara since her SCTV days!

This sucks. One of my favorites.
Loved him in darn near everything I saw him in, even Gone in 60 Seconds .. but this movie below is the first one I think of these days:
Absolutely. It’s hard to pick just one. Duvall was awesome.

My comfort level is that it’s HBO backed. If they hire the right people, stay mostly out of the way, and open the budget up after the success of AKOTSK, then we should be okay. The downside is that GRRM wrote the history here - not the actual dialogue. Finding someone that can weave dialogue and story details as well as he does will be the challenge.
