MT Postgame

On the bright side, since the video link didn’t work most of us missed the comeback by MT. Wow.

let’s agree not to discuss this. okay?

Discuss what? Hey look it’s almost time for the Super Bowl.

At this point of the season I hope we lose the remainder of our games to ensure that Major and his staff are gone. Play the shit out of Dorn, Woods, Ob and Blakley.

My frustration and anger agree, but I’m concerned about commits, recruits, and possible transfers. THEN we’ll really be VERY BAD. I feel sick about the state of our current team and our program. I tried to be optimistic, but that’s been stomped to bits now. These last 3 losses have been impossible for me to stomach.

sigh

As long as Dorn, Woods and Izundu are here, that’s all I really care about. I could take a hit with recruits for a year or two, as long as it means becoming a relevant program again.

The new coaching staff will need to focus on keeping Dorn, Woods and Izundu. If we lose these guys, this could set us back for years. I may be an old man before we are relevant again.

i sincerely think that the most powerful message that can be sent at this point is utter silence.

So this stretch certainly raises the question of how good of a game manager Major was. Obviously there were issues before, but they weren’t this bad. Any chance Major comes back for the conference tournament?

That’s assuming we qualify for the conference tournament. At this rate, I believe we would be left out. Or are they including everyone, I can’t remember.

And I’m not sure even if he came back full strength that it would help enough to win much of anything. Really sad to see it falling apart this badly with Odom in charge though. Hope he can figure something out before the end of the season.

That’s Judy’s answer

Only top 12 teams are in tourney. Top 4 get byes to 2nd round. Make other plans like I am now. >:( :frowning:

^^^^

I eagerly await to see the meltdown, or the total indifference (not sure which is more likely at the moment), when Alan Major and Co. are back next year.

i cannot see how judy could justify it, health not withstanding. he was unsuccessful when he was coaching and attendance is dwindiling.
That’s Judy’s answer
Not how I meant it. It’s pretty clear now from previous seasons that Major was/is doing a poor job running the program in most aspects, and overall not cutting it. I just wonder if he’s a better game manager than people thought, given how off-the-cliff the team appears to be with Odom making the in-game decisions.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see an excuse floated, but there’s simply no way that it will have any effect on how the fan base would react to Major returning. The AD may not care, but fans are beyond giving benefit of the doubt, listening, or aside from the diehards, caring.

was major really doing any better of a job as a game manager?

David Scott was on 730 Friday, and said he would be surprised if Major was fired even if things continued as they had so far this year. Now I hope by some miracle things get turned around, but if they don’t then…I just can’t see how you can rationalize keeping him.

By this: he’s been sick, so he deserves to come back from medical leave and pick up where he left off.

I respectfully disagree with this rationalization, cause that’s all it is.
