I wonder what the reaction would be at the Chicago fire when someone tried to explain that although our actual name is UNC Charlotte but we want to be known as just Charlotte for athletics. Maybe some eye rolling and simply ignoring it because it’s too much info coming at them for a simple school name correction?

Technically their name is Chicago Fire Soccer Club or Chicago Fire SC. I have NEVER seem them represented as such in any official fashion. They should understand.
