Clearly the UNC professor has ZERO expertise on anything. This is where our money goes via tuition, folks

SMDH :’(

God that looks awful.

clt says espn actually did better than the browns: http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/team/roster.html

Seriously, doesn’t someone at the AD reach out to fix this confusion?

Perhaps because they don’t give a damn?

The first of her greatest accomplishments, according to Rose, was the new logo. Jim Woodward was the chancellor when Rose began her logo-changing crusade. He repeatedly shot down the idea, and it wasn’t until two baseball players were drafted and the newspaper said they attended “North Carolina” instead of “Charlotte” that he okayed the idea. A firm was hired and the new athletic logos were designed.

Name confusion that actually worked in our favor this morning. I was watching the news this morning as I was getting ready, and the news story below was brought up on NBC with the graphic showing "UNC Professor’ and the anchors repeatedly said ‘UNC professor.’ I guess his court date is today.

clt says sup.

clt says this gives us cover for a name change:

Part of the reason for the branding initiative, Spellings said, was to eliminate confusion between the UNC System offices, located in Chapel Hill, and UNC-Chapel Hill. The campus now often refers to itself as “Carolina.”

Here we have the University of North Carolina now calling themselves the University of North Carolina System. Moreover, we have the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill calling themselves the University of North Carolina. How did it get so complicated?

clt says Carolina(south) is the real Carolina.

If you google “unc student union,” half of the results are our student union. I dont think I’ll ever be able to wrap my head around why we shouldnt change our name.

“Tremendous brand equity” - Dubois

The ONLY excuse i have ever heard is employers get confused and think you went to unc and they will hire you. I call bullshit Have some pride in your university and trust that the name and how well respected it is can compete with anyone.

I had a roommate that was always telling his friends back home he went to Carolina. First I though he was making it up and kind of bragging. Then I realized he really though we were part of Carolina…

That person shouldn’t have graduated from high school, much less been accepted to any college, even App.

(bonus points for Alumni Assoc not being on the same page as University Marketing regarding the use of “UNCC”)
