clt says this is a mess
There’s a lot I can say about the University and Athletics Marketing Departments not being able to (caring to?) correct that press release after three years. This is our town and the media here don’t have any idea who we are.

clt says this is a mess
Hop on the bus !!!

clt says we need a jabroni that just works on branding issues.

Or we could change our name

"More to the point, the owner gets paid off in other ways, starting with the pay. The owner gets to name the stadium after himself (or herself, in those cases where a woman owns a team), even though most owners have sought out more money by selling said rights. In fact, Richardson has the stadium at North Carolina-Charlotte named after him, but that wasn’t done at his behest."

Doubt he ever heard of the the Knights or the 49ers.

Not exactly name confusion, by why not leverage our color scheme to give it a Charlotte look and feel??

Pretty insignificant considering what has been going on the past few days, but Wednesday morning I heard both local and national news anchors refer to our University as “UNC” while reporting on the Keith Scott shooting. Good Morning America was one of them.

Email from the University Communications team:

Not sure if this is name confusion or the actual UNC-Chapel Hill bass fishing team is hosting the event. Neither would surprise me.

49ers…

Looks like you ordered the wrong hat.

I don’t get it? Just because it’s green? Pro teams do this stuff all the time. That “49ers” print on the hat is one of their logos:

Following the link in the email, it’s our bass fishing team. University Recreation

Is there actually any potential within the realm of reality that we change the name of the university ie CU or UofC?
