If this is Luka out of shape, think most would be fine with that.
Time will tell if they made the right call.
From what I heard and read it came down to one thing.
And that was they didn’t trust his commitment to conditioning to sign him to the super max.
It’s going to be impossible to tell if they were right if he stays in shape moving forward because the trade may have jolted him into maturity (not to mention working with LeBron James who likely will rub off on him with his good habits).
The only way Dallas wins this trade is if Doncic continues his ways and breaks down in the next couple years.
Certainly believe the new Dallas owners didn’t want to pay Doncic. Not the first cheapskates in the NBA.
