We may see him after all
Biggest difference between this case and the Alabama basketball player is that Chambliss had competent legal representation.
NCAA actually victorious today in a different medical hardship waiver challenge. As such, the Coastalās 2nd place CofC loses their 2nd leading scorer.
How the hell do you return for a ninth year? A little more of this BS and I will tap out of supporting college football. This is Ridiculous.
If Johnny King and others want to return it shouldnāt be a problem at all. There are simply no rules anymore.
NCAA really hypocritical with the respective Chambliss (Ole Miss) and Tuliaupupu (Montana) medical waiver request cases. Former seeking 6 seasons to play 4 after redshirting first 2 years at D2 Ferris State while for latter it was 9 seasons to play 4 after redshirting first 4 and 6th year at USC. Hmm⦠![]()
Perhaps, but doesnāt hurt that the judge for Chambliss was an Ole Miss grad. Maybe Bediakoās judge was an Auburn grad.
Judge who decided Bediako case is a 2-time Bama grad.
NCAA case is Robert Whitwell. Heās a former partner of Farese, Farese & Farese and has degrees from Delta State and Ole Miss Law. Heās also been a US Attorney. Whitwell was the QB and captain at Northwest Community College in 1965.Jan 16, 2026
I have no problem with the chambliss ruling and I was shocked he didnāt get the medical waver.
The guy has only actually played 3 years of football and next year would be his sixth year of college to play 4 like you said
The NCAA grants medical waivers like that all the time as evidenced by your other example.
They really picked a bad situation to put their foot down.
