Need everyone's Help!!!!!!!

Ok I need everyone’s input right away. Just got a call from a good friend of mine who is the Nike Golf apparel rep for NC & SC. Charlotte has contacted her to do some logoing for fan apparel (I know can you believe it???). Anyway she wants to know the logo that most fans want to see on the apparel…ie. the CHARLOTTE logo…the PICK…etc.

Also wanted to let everyone know that Value City just got a huge shipment of hoodies in…they are either green or grey and have the stitched CHARLOTTE logo. They 100% fleece and right now all fleece is buy one get one 50% off. They are better than the pullovers that I mentioned a couple months ago!!!

Post the various options somebody. We could even do a poll. Hopefully we’ll finally see the Nike stuff. I know there have been talks between the school and Nike for a couple of years.

Value City is becoming my favorite Charlotte apparel store…got word that they are closing they’re doors in February though…sucks!!

My vote is for the Charlotte logo. From a marketing perspective, I do not think enough people associate with pick with Charlotte yet.

I also think the pick by itself. I think that is the best logo we have, but all the ESPN logo’s and everyone else, they use the pick with the 49ers. I know they probably do that so people will recognize who we are, but with time people would recognize it.
I also think we need to get rid of the logo in the middle of the basketball court with a basketball in the middle of the pick. KEEP IT SIMPLE AND TIMELESS.

I prefer just the C-pick myself as long as it says something about CHARLOTTE or FORTY-NINERS on there somewhere.

And people DO recognize the C-pick, I’ve had more people pick me out in G’boro this past year than ever before.

I’d love one of those Nike Swoosh shirts that just have the swoosh and then “NINER NATION” above it.

I would go with the Charlotte logo on shirts, but I like the pick logo on hats.

Like others have mentioned, people still don’t think of us when they just see the pick.

I think it’s just like other schools using just their logo without any words or numbers…Cincinnati, Oregon, Clemson, etc. That is how you build name recognition, JUST PUT IT OUT THERE. People will catch on and start associating the pick with Charlotte athletics. We have had these logo’s for over 7 years now, I think it’s time to just use the pick.

Pick alone for the above mentioned reasons. Got to get that logo out. Got to get that brand going.

The Charlotte logo still looks great to me.

BTW, which Value City store is closing? Sardis Road or South Blvd?
