With the announcement of a new biotech research center coming to Kannapolis today, I wonder what role UNC Charlotte will play in this new center. It looks like it has great potential to employee large numbers of people in a growing industry. Due to the proximity to Kannapolis it seems to make sense that UNC Charlotte would try to play a role in this new center. I know most of the research done now at the university is engineering related but an added focus on biotechnology could greatly profit the school and its students.
My parents live five minutes from Cannon Village. I smell a rise in property value.
