How is it working? Is it bringing in more people to the other sports? who are the winners and losers of the new ticket distribution? are the same people who camped out (me last year) get to sit up close? I swear im not giving crap next year if i look across and the first 3 rows all the way across have frat shirts on. I watched a ton of college football and basketball and i dont remember ever seeing large “letters” on anyone. please tell me the frats got screwed
frats and student athletes were screwed in this deal. I’m currently trying to work out a deal with our athletic department to donate all the points i earn in attending the other games so that they can benefit since they can’t attend the other games as often. There has been more people turning out for the other sports. But there isn’t enough so more people need to get off their asses and support the niners
i dont think more people show up…its the same people, they show as late as they can to get a ticket, and stay just after halftime to sign in…its not working, and they need to stop
either camp out…or we get our tikets the day of the game…we cant fill halton now, if u make it complicated, it will be empty
this whole i email u saying i want a ticket…u email me telling me i got one and if i want it…then i email u saying i want it…then i pick it up later… …no offense to the ticket people cause they are trying but please, make it simple…im just glad im here on a cowbell scholorship
i think that it should have stayed like last year, one exception. The day before i have to say i want 12 tickets, the next morning i have to wait on all 12 tickets to print thats BS. they should be preprinted, if you get up the next morning and need 1 more extra its too bad.
The amount of bitching on this board is unbelievable.
I dont think cowbell knows what he is talking about unless they do soccer different than volleyball- you get points at the end of the entire match, so there is no leaving early if you want points. I heard the announcement at all of the volleyball matches so far, stay til the end for your points out in the lobby. (Unless they do soccer at halftime he’s wrong; otherwise I’m wrong in which case it’s a stupid system to do soccer differently)
And he’s flat out wrong about more people showing up. The volleyball match on Thursday night had about 300 students - that is not a normal volleyball crowd. Those people were coming for their loyalty points. They were loud and the atmosphere was much improved over last year.
NinerID, you can still get points for camping out, but, I wouldn’t make that the crux of your entire plan to sit in the lower bowl. That’s only going to be one aspect of this. Mix in a few soccer and volleyball games and I’m sure you’re going to be downstairs. Pony up $20 for Niner Nation Gold and you’ll get points for that too if you’re worried.
The frats and student-athletes will not be “screwed” if they put in a little bit of effort - you can still get clusters of five tickets, so five frat boys can go to a few soccer games and then sit together, and another cluster of five fratties can do the same and sit together. Boo hoo it might not be a block of 20 tickets, it could be 5-5-5-5.
And student-athletes can get points for playing in their own games, plus for going to other athletic events, so they will be OK.

they do it with 15 minutes left in the games
and student athletes are screwed when they have practice when the other games are being held
and student athletes are screwed when they have practice when the other games are being held
Yet they get points for what, 10 of their own games (soccer) and more for volleyball … I’m sure there aren’t going to be many general students going to every men’s and women’s soccer game and volleyball match, so I don’t think they’ll get “screwed” all that much.
yeah but the seats they had were really decent seats. Beside the pep band. each match is the same ammount of points you get 2 points for going to the basketball game and using your ticket. if you don’t use your ticket you lose a point. so the student athletes can’t camp out because of manditory work outs and practices that they have to be at. This why they also can’t go to all the games that offered on campus
im just glad group seating for frats is gone. i was sick of seeing bright blue, red and yellow shirts right behind our damn bench

I never really got a chance to go to that many games until after graduation. I did manage to go to quite a few soccer games and a couple of volleyball games, however.
I understand the athletes concerns, however I remember looking over to that section next to the pep band and seeing a bunch of people sitting on their hands. True, many athletes did cheer but the majority were just reeking the benifits of being a student athlete. That is not what the athletic department wants.
I like the new ticket system. People who wanna go to basketball games will be in the lower level creating a better atmosphere. Maybe now Halton Arena will be a better home court advantage for us. Lets not forget people that this ticket system is brand new! I am sure tweaks are going to need to be made over the course of time.

You just like them because they wear short shorts and tights to the games.I think the athletes should move, because when you have them next to pep band it makes us look like a bunch of fat people.
that is if you don’t work out kile
Are the cross-country chicks as hot as the v-ball chicks?
How do I meet some of the hotties?
Will donate 4 a date w/ a sports chick?

But there are a couple on the roster with some potential.
