My guess is that DeepSeek is the result of a lot of Chinese corporate espionage.

Never put more than you can afford to lose into any single stock.

I remain skeptical of their claims on how little it cost to develop.

That’s some Minority Report b.s. right there.

Hell to the naw.

Also, though it goes on everyday I’m not crazy about pricing customers instead of products, especially on commodity goods like groceries. That’s opening the door to abusive pricing schemes.

Already put up with it enough on their stupid swipe cards / customer # at checkout. At least they advertise those to EVERYONE who has the dumb card.

This also triggered a point I’ve been debating for a while now. I’m of the more and more certain belief that technology’s impact on our lives has passed the tipping point where convenience has been eclipsed by needless, burdensome complexity and complete erasure of any personal privacy.

Looks like it was a helicopter and plane collision.

Reports say coaches and members of the US Ice Skating Team were on that flight.
Eerily this reminds me of a crash many years ago involving the US Skating Team.

With this flight originating in Wichita, also a reminder of the 1970 charter plane crash in which members of the Shockers’ football team - players, coaches, and boosters - perished along with the crew.

RIP.

In 1961, the US Figure Skating Team was flying to the World Championships when their plane, a commercial airliner, crashed in Belgium.

The US team lost its skaters, coaches, and some family members. Skating is akin to NASCAR and Formula One. Many families are involved for several generations.
