Check this out. We’ve found our investment team to grow the football fund:

The management fund is led by a team of student investors from the Belk College of Business who invest real money out of UNCC's endowment into the stock market. This year's group started with $199,850 in the fund, and finished in March with $226,976, a 13.6 percent gain.

During the same time period, the S&P 500 had a 6.4 percent gain, the university said.

If I had that money to invest (in the stock market), I’d probably run the account into the ground.
