Happy for Young. Great player for us. No one would turn down the money he was paid to go to Maryland (also where he was from).
This is the new college landscape. Raise up great players in non power 4/5 and they get paid. Really nothing we can do to stop it. Sad but true.
Just a reminder that Jahmir would have left regardless of the money. Maryland had been his long-time “dream school” landing spot. Plus the move allowed JY to show up Mark Turgeon for not recruiting him.

He is playing well. Has a good overall NBA game given his size. Shooting is getting better.
Seems like he is going to get an NBA shot if he keeps playing like this?
I think it depends what the Heat need. He’s locked in with them on a two way. Typically that would be who gets called up if there is an injury but doesn’t mean he would get time.
It’s all a positive though. If he got released by the heat im sure someone else or a European team will snatch him up.
I’m not sure if these stats are good but Brice is getting time with the G league affiliate of the Pistons. He has gotten significant floor time in the last three games minimum Didn’t go back further than that

Jahmir, Miami Heat, actually played 4 minutes against the Hornets last night and had 3 points on a bucket and a FT.
Pretty cool to see him stay on the roster.
