official 49er football gear

How did that “UNC” get on that sweatshirt? UNC has no place in our athletics anymore.

$70 for a polo shirt? And $30 more than the regular one simply because it has “football” embroidered under the Charlotte logo? Sounds like the bookstore we all have grown to know and hate. I guess since Value City is no longer any competition they can now jack up the prices again.

They will get better in time. Assuming Greys and other sports stores catch on.

I’m guessing CHP had a say in that…

That’s what I said and hoped some 15 years ago after my freshman year. I’m still waiting.

See prediction #d. Our school’s poor marketing is as predictable as the seasons.

Perhaps I’m just getting old and an decidedly un-hip… but are there any decent sweatshirts that aren’t hoodies?
Both in the bookstore
Is this a sweatshirt or a T??

Best shirt I’ve seen yet.

I think I’ll grab one as soon as I find it.

In other words, as soon as I get to the bookstore or (hopefully) these will be available for sale at the Pfeiffer game.

Did anyone find any football stuff at the arena last night?

I looked but didn’t see anything. Figured they must of already sold what had available.

I asked them if they would be selling any football gear at the games and they said they should in future games.

should?

SHOULD??

SHOULD???

things like this make me worry about the future of the school.

fast forward to September, 2013. It is Saturday morning and various groups around campus are getting ready for kickoff of game #1.

Merchandise Sales Person #1: “Do you think we should take any of this football stuff to the game today?”

Merchandise Sales Person #2: “Why? I didn’t read about the game in the Observer, so I don’t think there will be too much interest in it. It will likely be extra stuff we just have to bring back to the bookstore after the game.”

Silvio, the board decides next Thursday before our first home game. I think all restraints will come off then. Not saying I understand why they sell it in the bookstore but not a game, but I think next Friday being the day after the motion should be huge for sale of football merch.

Most likely you are correct.

But I still don’t understand why they’d have new items for sale and then "restrict"when its sold.

I was dissapointed they didn’t have football gear, but at least I got my black out shirt for the Clemson game.

BUMP

Any new gear with the latest developments???

Barnes and Noble have stuff ready the day of?

Ha! They’re always at least a week+ behind.

I am 100% confident in the ability of the B & N folks to have great stuff readily available

someday.

From the FAQs sheet in the media package given out today…
When will football gear and other merchandise be available to the public?
Collegiate Licensing and the university bookstore have been aggressive in turning out preliminary Charlotte football items. Some commemorative T-shirts have been available since shortly after the Chancellor’s Sept. 18 recommendation and not that final approval has been given we expect to see a greater supply of merchandise at local reatilers.
Nothing at the game last night. I had my green Charlotte Football shirt on as I was looking at what they had on display at the game. A guy walks up to me and ask me wher he can get a shirt like mine. I told him I got mine at the bookstore, but for some reason they weren’t selling any at the game. He was from out of town so he couldn’t go to the bookstore. I mentioned the website, but who knows if that works or not.

Another wasted opportunity. I know we have the merchandise. What is so hard about bringing it over for games??
