How did that âUNCâ get on that sweatshirt? UNC has no place in our athletics anymore.
$70 for a polo shirt? And $30 more than the regular one simply because it has âfootballâ embroidered under the Charlotte logo? Sounds like the bookstore we all have grown to know and hate. I guess since Value City is no longer any competition they can now jack up the prices again.

They will get better in time. Assuming Greys and other sports stores catch on.
I asked them if they would be selling any football gear at the games and they said they should in future games.
should?
SHOULD??
SHOULD???
things like this make me worry about the future of the school.
fast forward to September, 2013. It is Saturday morning and various groups around campus are getting ready for kickoff of game #1.
Merchandise Sales Person #1: âDo you think we should take any of this football stuff to the game today?â
Merchandise Sales Person #2: âWhy? I didnât read about the game in the Observer, so I donât think there will be too much interest in it. It will likely be extra stuff we just have to bring back to the bookstore after the game.â
Silvio, the board decides next Thursday before our first home game. I think all restraints will come off then. Not saying I understand why they sell it in the bookstore but not a game, but I think next Friday being the day after the motion should be huge for sale of football merch.

Most likely you are correct.
But I still donât understand why theyâd have new items for sale and then "restrict"when its sold.
From the FAQs sheet in the media package given out todayâŚ
When will football gear and other merchandise be available to the public?
Collegiate Licensing and the university bookstore have been aggressive in turning out preliminary Charlotte football items. Some commemorative T-shirts have been available since shortly after the Chancellorâs Sept. 18 recommendation and not that final approval has been given we expect to see a greater supply of merchandise at local reatilers.
Nothing at the game last night. I had my green Charlotte Football shirt on as I was looking at what they had on display at the game. A guy walks up to me and ask me wher he can get a shirt like mine. I told him I got mine at the bookstore, but for some reason they werenât selling any at the game. He was from out of town so he couldnât go to the bookstore. I mentioned the website, but who knows if that works or not.
Another wasted opportunity. I know we have the merchandise. What is so hard about bringing it over for games??
