Nirvana - Son of a Gun
Nirvana - Dumb
Nirvana - Drain You[/quote]
Wait, I’m confused (I stopped here on your list). I thought you wanted love songs.
I mean, I can see Son of a Gun even tho it’s not necessarily about love lol, but Dumb and Drain You don’t really fit. And Nirvana doesn’t seem like what I would think of as family friendly- unless your family is a bunch of people like me lol.
But I mean, if that’s what yall are going for, “Molly’s Lips” would fit pretty well me thinks.
Coheed and Cambria - Always and Never
Coheed and Cambria - Wake Up
The Cranberries - Dreams
Smashing Pumpkins - Landslide
Hootie and the Blowfish - I Go Blind
Muse - Starlight
Sublime ft. Gwen Stefani - Saw Red
U2 - Pride (In the name of love)
Infant Sorrow - Inside of You
Thanks Hootie/NA. I figure I’ve made a life of bad decisions, what’s one more?!
49times, thanks. Dreams is a great one. Linger would be awesome too. Infant Sorrow would be excellent also as I love FSM. I could also pretend I was marrying Kristen Bell! She’s one of my free pass girls.
Bust, Drain You is a love song as told through the eyes of two newborns. Dumb is a song about two people who love getting high together. While neither of those apply to us, they are both still love songs, albeit not traditional sure. I doubt you’re gonna find many people who have listened to as much Nirvana as I have on these boards or elsewhere. I was a pretty rabid fan for a long long time. I had 95% of their unreleased boxset before it came out from collections. I know what their songs are about. If they mean something else to you, that’s cool. I don’t have a problem with nontraditional love songs. If you want to talk about it more, I am more than happy to do it, but let’s do it in PMs cause I don’t want to clutter up this thread with that.
Hey PB, I don’t know if you like Dave Matthews or U2, but there a few good ones in there.
The Flaming Lips have a good one. Can’t remember the name but I think it is ‘With You’.
Another good Smashing Pumpkins song ‘Tonight Tonight’
You could probably play a lot of Iron and Wine.
I am blanking right now, but there was a station on Last.FM which was 90’sish Alternative rock but more family friendly. I usually listen to is when I am reading, and if I remember more i’ll post it.
