I have them beating Duke in one of my brackets. VCU has no one for McRoberts though. VCU has over 300,000 students so you’ll see some black and gold around town in between all the UVA and Va Tech crap.

Their campus is a decent size in Richmond’s inner city. Years ago it used to be a pretty shitty area but when I go home (back to VA) I visit friends there and go out in Shockhoe and Carytown. It’s actually somewhat of a commuter school actually. I know they have a good number that live on campus, but still have a large contingent that commute from outside of Richmond since 2 major highways cut through the area.

It’s changed a lot since I’ve been in Richmond since 2001. VCU is really doing a lot for the downtown Richmond area by taking old buildings and renovating them for school purposes. That on top of the normal construction is helping to get rid of the “shitty” image of which you spoke. I always make it a point to ride down Main St when the weather gets warm. :cool:

I say we start another “Goldduster” or “Girls of the A10” thread on the 49er Sports Forum and see how long it takes before it is moved or removed. Heck, why limit it to the A10. I say we start a “Girls of the NCAA” thread… and I believe a good place to start will be FSU.

I say we start another “Goldduster” or “Girls of the A10” thread on the 49er Sports Forum and see how long it takes before it is moved or removed. Heck, why limit it to the A10. I say we start a “Girls of the NCAA” thread… and I believe a good place to start will be FSU.

In January, someone named dgreco promoted his Atlantic 10 messageboard on the Atlantic 10 messageboard. I checked it out but I never signed up - the pathetic A-10 messageboard should really be called “the dgreco-has-no-friends messageboard”
