Oscar picks

My prediction: Million Dollar Baby sweeps, Clint wins best actor and director.

Ray is overrated. And I hate when an actor can fall back on a gimmick (a disability or retardation) for acclaim.

I had planned on it until I heard how depressing it was. Just not a big fan of all the hospital/melancholy stuff.

I’d like to see Ray though.

interesting read from ws about million dollar baby, Million Dollar Missed Opportunity

if you haven’t seen it yet, probably don’t want to read that because it will give away the movie. Unless you don’t plan to see it because its depressing, then feel free to read it.

guy that wrote that piece is:

WARNING: THERE BE PLOT SPOILERS HEREIN

Thanks for the read. Although I disagree with the author about Clint being “blind” to the possibilities of Maggie living a full life after her injury. There is a scene in the hospital where he discusses enrolling her in college. But it was obvious she wasn’t interested.
