Our exhibition game this year...

Will be vs the University of Ottawa on Wednesday, October 31st, at 7:00.

:49ers: :bball: :dribble:

Why more Canucks?

Here is their basketball team’s page:

They are the “Gee-Gees” lol
:lmao:

They will get heckled to no end

We will have a good chance to see how they stack up to top competition in the next couple days, as they have games against Illinois, Alabama, and Villanova.

If they hang close with those teams, I will be shocked.

A wednesday game? Alright I can do that.

What about that thing we had where they introducted all the players and had them play a game against each other. When do we get that?

Midnight Madness… don’t know.

It wasn’t exactly midnight when we did this though was it?

if the EXIF data for this picture is correct it was Nov 4. Isn’t this where we sat for that?

Looks like we have something in common with them: their men’s b-ball team represented Canada in the World University Games in Thailand.

Bball madness is always the first day of practice, which is mid October. It’s usually around the 15th to 17th range.

No it wasn’t midnight. It used to be at midnight due to NCAA rules. They may have changed the name last year to “Basketball Maddness”. The thread started afterwards last year was October 20th.

Yes, that was where we sat. I don’t think it was November 4th.

There it is. Thanks.

Wow, reading some of that stuff people way over excpected from Carlos. And didn’t see Phalers potential at all.

I have Basketball Madness marked on my calendar for 10:30 on October 18th. The next day is the dedication of the baseball stadium @ 4:00.

Seems to me a “local” game against the likes of Johnson C. Smith, Queens, Catawba, or Pfeiffer would be more interesting and put more behinds in Halton as well. Hmmm…

this will definately be our major network game of the year!!!

OK, these guys must be decent (for a Canadian team). This past Saturday, they played Alabama, and then later during that SAME DAY, played Illinois. They lost to Alabama 104-80 in the first game, then in the second game that day, lost to Illinois 73-56.

I’m going to go ahead and predict a 78-65 Niners win.

Halloween night, hunh? Let’s all go dressed as Gee Gees…if we can figure out what the hell a Gee Gee is!! Maybe it’s like a billiken, only it says " 'eh " after every sentence.

the term Gee-Gee is taken from horse racing where a Gee-Gee is the first horse out of the starting gate.

I think

Why does this make me think we will lose to them?

I for one, welcome our Canadian friends…
