Doesn’t seem to have an issue with $25M in TAXPAYER dollars going to subsidize athletic scholarships for out of state students at all UNC campuses. I know this benefits us, too and many out of state athletes who may not otherwise be able to afford to go to their respective school, but he might be one of the most hypocritical old farts left in this state…

Btw, the answer is simple:
Out of state scoly $ help his basketball team and would infuriate every Wal Mart Tarheel fan in the state if made illegal by legislature.
Its easy to come pick on 49er football, but not other programs.
At least when you apply here and attend, its voluntary what you are getting into in regards to student fees. Not so much on tax dollar allocation…
I hope we use the hell out of this and get the best out-of-state players we can lay our hands on.
