Put my name on this list a couple days ago.
Saw some awesome shows and games here since 1955, but have NO interest in these seats. Guess it 'cause I don’t have a Man Cave or other appropriate place to put them. 8)
I put my name on the list too but I haven’t heard anything yet. I don’t get why they’re only selling about 800 seats. Someone online said they saw piles and piles of seats in two dumpsters outside the arena. Seems to me that it would be better to sell them for super cheap ($10 or $15 each), and sell many more. I wouldn’t mind picking up a few, I just need a way to rig them to be freestanding.
Attach them to 2x4s.
clt says the seats need cushions.
The price is honestly not too bad at all. $40 for two seats and $45 for three. I may try to pick up a set. Now, how I’ll transport them and how I’ll make them freestanding, I’m not sure.

Approximately 800 seats will be available that will be sold in two and three-seat increments, with a limit of one set per person. Two seats will be sold for $40, while three seats will be sold for $45. Purchasers who have secured seats via Ticketmaster will be able to pick them up on-site at Bojangles’ Coliseum on Sept. 9 – 10 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Due to the demand, we encourage people to log on as soon as the sale begins to try to secure their seats. Seats will be provided to the public in the condition they were removed. Purchasers should be aware that they’ll be responsible for supplying any missing parts not provided at the time of distribution and for making any necessary retrofits. The seats were designed to adhere to the riser system of Bojangles’ Coliseum and in order to be used by the purchaser, they will require modification to sit on a flat surface."

I don’t think they lasted longer than about 5 minutes. I got a group of 3 right at 10 this morning, posted here that they were on sale, and by the time I went back, there were none available. I don’t understand why they only sold 800 seats. From what I read, they threw away thousands of seats. They should have sold them for $20 per until they couldn’t sell any more.
