I know NWA is going to get an ambulance, & make it a Normbulance, & instead of just tricking out an old car to make it a Niner-Mobile, I was thinking of getting a fire truck. And NWA, I did see some out there for you.
I was looking at some used ones, & found several under $10K, & even some under $5K, itās just, how much work will they need? Most seem up & running, but I worry how much is it to deliver it from across the country? How much to paint it dark green with gold features, & paint a Football & Norm? How much is gas, even if you buy the minimum amount? How much maintenance will it need for something I will only drive to games? Is it worth the time & expense when I probably have to get a real car in 1-3 years? If I get one with a ladder, how much does it cost to build some kind of metal barrier that prevents it from being climbed by drunks at games? How much are tires, oil changes, etc.? Will it be okay to drive to away games in Charleston or Buies Creek? Will the school even let me park it at a game? Will the neighbors b**** about it on the side of the street in front of my house? How much will it cost to get it up to inspection status? How big can I get it before I have to get a CDL? Does anyone know?
Going in a different direction, I saw some old military vehicles in camoflage. It might be cool to do dark green & gold camoflage with Norm dressed as a soldier.
I also saw a 6X6 Monster Truck that might be cool in dark green & gold.

I looked at a few firetrucks. A few things scared me away. One where to park the damn thing - they are big. Two I wanted to tailgate panther and niner games and the price for parking something that big for a panthers game seemed too high. Three I looked into parts and parts are harder to come by and the vehicle is hard to work on - some of them french for Godās sake. Lastly as cool as it would be it did not offer many positives as far as tailgating customization. The military truck on the the other hand I think is an awesome idea. I looked into those as well, but wasnāt to sure about some of the maint costs. Of the two I think you are better of going military.
A truck has to be 26000 GVW or more to need a driver with a CDL license.
A bus can be driven by anyone if it has less than 15 people passenger space (see your typical chuch van). You would need a different class license to drive the typical school bus.
My father and I are restoring a 1972 Monte Carlo. It looks like this (except that itās a hard top and the roof is green, too):
I never thought about turning it into a stonecoldmobile. But I HAVE wondered what kind of a custom job that Tim Norris (www.timnorris.com) could do with it, after SF4Nynah posted the helmet pics. It has the largest hood of all Chevrolet models. So itād be quite a canvas to work on!
