One interesting thing he said, he mentioned that if he would have had all the things we are fortunate to have now as far as the practice gyms and such, hes not sure he would have made the same decisions as to leaving…
It was fun following a Niner I knew and watched…play in the NBA. I used to post regularly on a Nuggets message board when he played for them. Maybe he’ll get one more shot.
I’m curious as to where he’s living in the offseason. He mentioned his work in the community and helping out the kids. Also said he has 3 children. Boys, girls, ages?
hes gotta be getting up there in age?
and I bet he can make some serious $$$ overseas especially if hes averaging those numbers
I just want 1 niner to be a bench player on an NBA team, so I can have some team to cheer for…
our sights should be set much higher. there is no reason that programs like western kentucky can have guys like courtney lee and we cant get guys in the nba.

He definitely sounds like he’s got a much stronger sense of humility. Getting bounced out of the league and the trouble he got in D.C. probably did that for him. Really hope he gets another shot.
At 28, he’s hardly old. And that new found humility could serve him well if it makes him work the boards and play defense.
There’s really no reason he shouldn’t be in the league other than making the effort and someone giving him an opportunity. Green glasses aside, Rodney can play at that level.
I dunno if Im feelin’ that 80’s 'do though, Hot Rod.
