Hope the Memphidiots realize that a RPI of 110 isn’t going to cut it come committee time. What’s funny is that they are forced to look forward to playing us for the RPI boost. I love when they depend on us for help…lol.

Rugters with their 8-12 record has dropped to 150 per Joe Lunardi’s daily RPI.

I hope games vs four of the bottom five league teams doesn’t hurt our RPI too badly. Looking at the schedule without too much analysis, we definitely have the easier of the top teams (Louisville, Cincy, Memphis, UAB, DePaul). Hopefully we can keep playing at the level we are at now.

They jumped up to #81 after beating Louisville last night.

Memphis RPI, etc.

Them spanking Louisville was really good for us for the obvious reasons (standings), but also it was a wake-up call for anyone who thought they weren’t that good. Their schedule is very favorable down the stretch. Both Louisville and Cincy come to the Pyramid. We are their only tough road trip. I think they’ve got their chemistry problems worked out or rid of, so we better be ready to play when they show up. It’s looking like CUSA will get 6 teams in the Dance as long as Memphis doesn’t fold.

Our SOS is up to #105 now. It will be Top 75 when the season ends. Not bad for a “terrible” non-conference schedule.

kenpom is more accurate than teamrankings.com and he still has their RPI at 110. they have a lot of work left to do if they want to make the tournament. that will still be a tough game for us though.

CBS Sportsline has us at 30.

Come on jcl, they're RPI could be 1 and they'd be kept out of the tournament simply b/c Judy is on the selection committee.

Both KenPom and Team Rankings are showing Marquette with a better RPI SOS than us. Yet when you add up each team’s opponent’s RPI and take an average, ours comes out lower than Marquette’s. They’ve played more home games than us, so the road win factor shouldn’t make a difference either. Sagarine has us with a 120 SOS and Marquette at #146. That looks about right.

Marquette’s Opponents avg RPI ranking using KenPom’s rankings = 136.55
Charlotte’s Opponents avg RPI ranking using KenPom’s rankings = 127.05

ESPN insider has us at 33 with a SOS of 138.
