RU fan would prefer a power-conference opponent

true I’ve been called worse.

While C-USA is a very good basketball conference, when I say power conferences I guess I’m talking about the combined football/bball powers. And to be honest, if you were to ask random fans around the country who the top conferences in the country are, the Big 12, SEC, Big 10 and Pac10 would be mentioned more than C-USA whether it’s fair or not. I think even you’d agree with that.

And for the other guy who asked why I excluded the ACC–I don’t want RU to play any ACC team in either fball and bball ever again because of what they did to our conference.

As I said on another thread, our bulletin board is totally excited with this win, and that is because we know we beat a good team ON THE ROAD which has been our major bug-a-boo (I guess like FTs have been with you guys based on all the posts I’ve read)

Later guys and kick butt the rest of the year

If you were to ask a basketball fan and they said Big 10 or Pac 10, then they are retarded. Big East, ACC, SEC and Big 12 are the only conferences that are better than CUSA.

Maybe, but is there any power conference that is disbanding after the season?

That is irrelevant to this season.

Hardly. You cant fault Rutgers for wanting to play established teams and conferences.

I think if you would ask the average college basketball fan who didn’t attend a conference USA school to rate the conferences, they would rate the Big Ten and The Pac Ten ahead of Conference USA. Whether that is accurate differs year to year, clearly last year Conference USA was better, but historically speaking there is no question the other two conferences would have to be rated ahead of Conf USA.
