Was anybody else ready for Lutz to throw in the towel and take all of the starters out with about 6 minutes left? Lutz should have made a point that what was going on was unacceptable, and put some of the scrubs in there who would at least put out the effort to block someone out.
That’s what I was thinking, Cup. With about 5:00 to go, I looked at my dad and said, “Y’know, maybe Bobby should just put Sager, Gordon, and Miller in… at least they’d get after it.”
Unacceptable effort by our guys tonight. I don’t know what the hell is going on, but they better fix it now.
Lutz: “Obviously our failure to rebound was critical. I thought we actually defended well enough if we could have rebounded and not given them second and third chances.”
I think this coincides with everyone’s theory about lack of heart and effort for these guys. We got a week to pull ourselves together…
