Especially love this comment by one of SLU’s finest fans:

I hope that little white kid who makes me feel ashamed of my own whiteness isn’t on the team anymore. I f-ing hate that kid. I also have a great disdain for Bobby “Clutz” Lutz.

GO NINERS!!! BEAT THE BILLIKENS!

What a joke slu and their board is. It’s as if they don’t even know they have a game with us tomorrow, much less how we’re going to kick their billikinasses. They’re talking about everything but our game, so maybe they already have accepted the inevitable.

what an idiot.

Well they are 3-11 with an RPI of 255... that makes it tought to get excited about your team.

Since they suck so bad, this game is a must win for us… our RPI would never recover if we lost to them at home. I don’t think we’ll have a problem though… Niners by 20.

A dismal season gets even more that way…

We might win at the Saavis Center by forfeit!

I think Plav will have a career game against them. UC went 9 - 23 against them from 3 point land, and they don’t have a shooter like Plav.

That's a bold prediction. :D

I HATE playing Saint Louis, regardless of how bad they are. They make you play an ugly and physical halfcourt game that is often hard to watch. If we allow them to drag us into that garbage, then we may find ourselves in a tighter battle than you may expect. On paper, we should win by 20+ but they have a way of drawing you into a low scoring affair. I think that if we are able to push tempo and really run, then we’ll destroy them. But if we can’t get our offense moving in high gear then everyone in attendance will likely fall asleep by mid 2nd half from such boring play.

If they control tempo: Niners 66 Saint Louis 57
If we control tempo: Niners 85 Saint Louis 67

That is the first time I can ever remember a basketball player ending his career because of concussions. Think about it.

The RPI doesn’t take into account who you lost to and where you lost to them. It only takes into account your W/L, your opponets’ W/L, and your opponets’ opponets’ W/L. his year it gives a bonue for winning on the road. Losing to SLU at home would be no different than losing to TCU at home.

I don’t think SLU could score 67 against North Meck.

True, it does give a 0.4 bonus for winning on the road but according to Ken Pomeroy, a home loss now receives a 0.4 penalty under the new RPI formula.

Home win: 0.7
Home loss: 1.4
Neutral win: 1.0
Neutral Loss: 1.0
Road win: 1.4
Road loss: 0.7

The trick now is to play your home games on neutral   courts. (i.e Marquette at Green Bay, Duke or UNC at Greensboro, Syracuse at Rochester, etc.)

Disregard this. I goofed trying to quote the previous message on another thread.

Ashamed of my own whiteness???

If anyting on the court that day made me ashemaed of my own whiteness, it was the outfit Soderburg tried to pull off. He looked like he picked that up from the Michael Irvin collection at K-Mart.
