Reflecting on the Positives:
- I liked the SLU dancers halftime routine and outfits.
- Our band is better than theirs.
- Some days you are the dog.
- Some days you are the fire hydrant.
- This has been the year of the hydrant.
Reflecting on the Positives:
Hire Chuck Amato now!
Uzi v. crossbow. We’re simply not going to win.
have no fear, the people who have been in charge of the decline of 49er basketball over the last 6 years are about to make their decision soon!
tonight: broken arrow vs. broken arrow being held together with scotch tape…guess which one we held.
[ul][li]Well… at least we aren’t losing much scoring after this season.[/li]
[li]Does their band have a kazoo section?[/li]
[li]I decided that I hate St Louis as much as George Washington. They are a bunch of clowns, they play boring basketball, I’m surprised their coach hasn’t died yet, their mascot looks like one of those creepy people that dress up like animals or mythological beings at swingers parties.[/li]
[li]Phil Jones tear[/li]
[li]We got mugged on our last 2 possessions over and over and no call.[/li]
[li]We need to recruit post players who can rebound and FINISH at POINT BLANK RANGE.[/li][/ul]
Major is way out of his league. He is a nice guy and i’m sure a great assistant coach. However his ability to match wits with other head coaches in this league is horrible.
Sure i’ll give him a pass because he’s never had to design a system to fit his players STRENGTHS and its not his fault he was placed in this situation. But he better hope his recruits are so good that they can overcome his inexperience as a coach.
A lot of our turnover issues are simply because he failed to recognize that we do not have the ballhandlers to run a motion offense where 1 thru 5 are required to be skilled dribblers passers and shooters 12 to 15 feet from the basket.
When will he STOP sending Derrio ( the worst shooter on the team % wise) 1 on 5 to take every shot the last 3 min of the game no matter what the degree of difficulty. The coaches in this league are to smart and players are to good to allow you to beat them when your final 3 minute game plan is so eff n predictable.
WTF EVER HAPPENED TO SHARE THE BALL. ???
At least we are remaining classy about it.
Went and saw the Big Mamma movie tonight. (pretty funny)
Couldn’t stand to watch what I thought was going to happen at St. Louis.
oops, forgot we had a game
What is everyone complaining about? I thought we beat SLU for our 21st win.
Oh wait, y’all are talking about the men. My bad.
How as a fan can you say you don’t care? That is pathetic.
Nothing but negetive comments, sad…

Give us a game winning play you’d like to see us run, or what you would have done in the situation. I would have run a play for Barnette, either a screen or pick and roll.

Right he is over his head because he has a make shift roster of guys that don’t fit his system and even if he ran a system that played to its strengths (which I think is overstated), we wouldn’t be any good anyway. I’d rather Major establish how things are going to be moving forward in terms of the offensive and defensive philosophy than to cater to a way of doing things that got the last coach fired.
As I have said a million times, they call it rebuilding for a reason, you don’t fire a coach without rebuilding.
What strengths can we play to? Because our roster can’t be strong with the ball that is our coach’s fault? Maybe the players should man up and take pride in the possession.
So far he has not recruited undersized players, I think that is a plus moving forward.

No shit why is everybody being so hard of Major. If this is happening in year 3/4, then yeah we have problems. But everyone chill, we suck this season and that isnt going to change at all.
Get a clue
He’s has some bad circumstances, but his in-game coaching has cost us a few games this year and his inability to manage kids cost us 2 players this year.
I don’t think he’ll be a good coach, but there’s not enough evidence to say that without a shadow of a doubt.
^^ Turnovers by our starters have cost us more games than Major.
You can’t ask the man to put a puzzle back together when most of the pieces are missing.
