Snobbiest Places in North Carolina

I think they nailed it.

Nailed the top two at least

Yep. 2 and 4 are basically the same place as well.

Tell that to the locals, you will be corrected very quickly.

I wouldn’t call Asheville snobby. It also discounts large cities entirely. I would put Southpark in the mix if it were a town of it’s own. Same can be said for portions of Triad and Triangle.

South charlotte is the snobbiest place Ive been in NC.

Oak Ridge is pretty snobby for a po-dunk country town. Rightful ranking.

If Ballantyne were its own town, it would be #1 by a country mile.

I’d switch Chapel Hill and Carrboro on this list, but the rest of it seems pretty accurate. I live in Cary, and it’s definitely waaaaaay up its own asshole.

Lot of beer snobs up here. Most of them smell funny…

Yeah, we could use a few more deodorant snobs up here :))

They left one off the list.

Wherever Gonzo happens to be at any moment.

In all likelihood Gonzo will be working at Lowe’s in a year. He should be finishing up law school at NCCU and according to Forbes “Only 44% of its 2013 grads had landed jobs nine months after finishing school, and just 76% reported their status, according to the school’s website, so the employment rate could be even lower. The median starting salary was $45,000 and the average debt load, $74,000.” So Gonzo has no room to be snobby, he has just delayed the reality of his future by three years.

Apologies to anyone here that went to NCCU. I assume you are in the top 44%.

clt asks, didn’t we all go to nccu? North Carolina Charlotte university?

Well, it was that away about 15 years ago. Maybe it’s changed. I dated a CH student that lived in Carrboro and I couldn’t tell a difference between the two towns.

Don’t know what happened to my post above, the quote feature didn’t seem to work.

Any, with regard to Carrboro and CH, maybe things have changed. I know about 13 years ago while I was dating at CH student that lived in Carrboro I couldn’t tell a difference between the two towns.

Where is Wrightesville Beach?

The shoutbox right now.

Belmont couldn’t have been too far off this list.

Wilmington, but Figure 8 Island is more exclusive. How did Bald Head Island not get on this list?

How is Blowing Rock not on here, specifically Chetola Resort and areas immediately around it and downtown?
