USMNT narrowly misses Morocco in group D; but Morocco is in group C with Brazil, which I assume means there is a good chance we would have to play them in the next round.

I wasnt paying full attention - but it looked like Curacao got drawn for our final group opponent, but they moved them to another group. I know they had all kinds of convoluted reasons for moving teams, but I missed what the reason was for this one. Did anyone catch it?
Thinking if we had gotten them we would have had one of the softest groups.
Expanding the tournament has watered down the groups. I don’t really see a Group of Death. Just a few top heavy ones (poor Scotland in Group C… No way they get past Brazil and Morocco.)
My understanding is they were trying to avoid having more than one team from the same confederation within a group.
Lol I didn’t realize Curacao was CONCACAF. Though I guess it wouldn’t have worked if they were CONMEBOL either.
I think they had to stick a euro team in our group. Makes sense now that I think about it.
