Don’t know if anyone on here is going to care, but I have seen this happen to some male players I know through my sons. It also reminds me of how cruel football recruiting can be (I posted a bit about that in the 2026 recruiting thread). This entire process is pretty cutthroat, and you’re dealing with kids, who are going to be shattered when a rug pull like this happens.

On that strong of a resume this girl should probably be okay, but many wouldn’t be - they’d have their dreams crushed by a cruel, very late game of musical chairs.

I think eventually we will have promotion / relegation across all of pro soccer in America. And it will make soccer popularity skyrocket. Eventually it may end up catching on with the other major sports - even though that seems so unlikely right now.

Some very late kickoffs.

This rocks. And may get me paying attention again.

I’ve long maintained that pro rel is a lightening bolt ready to ignite the US fan if it’s done properly.

Most of our country doesn’t even know what it is.

When the implications hit you they hit hard.

lol. Promotion relegation would be the ultimate anti tanking tool in the NBA if it existed.

Me thinks current world events are going to have a very negative effect on what should be a glorious occasion happening in our country. Instead, we’re probably going to see people and incidents they set in motion disrupt many if not all the games. Sad times.

Won’t be the first time (see various olympics), but I tend to agree. We may see some matches moved, and participants not participating.

Two pretty big blows to their clubs but especially to their national teams ahead of the World Cup.

I’ve seen conflicting reports on Mbappe. One saying he has been playing on the injury for months, another saying that it’s not that bad - all seems like spin and maybe wishful thinking to me. I’d expect him to also miss the WC or else be extremely limited too.

No official injury update from Real Madrid but this story is saying that he has a “left knee sprain” and will miss an extended period of time but be healthy by June.

We will see.

Officially official. Yes these are the women’s kits - 4 stars - but the men’s kit will look the same minus the stars.

My boys don’t like them much. I think they’ll look good on the pitch. Definite throwbacks to the ‘94 WC kits.
