Did I post this already? This is awesome.
This looks to be our actual World Cup lineup.
And yeah, it’s what I thought - Tillman over Reyna (I approve), and Ream over Trusty (I disagree - Trusty is faster and left footed).

Bummer result, but I think our starters looked good aside from the notable absence of Chris Richards on our backline.
That volley by Jedi was absolutely sick. Our entire living room jumped up off our seats and screamed at that one.

Overall, I’m mostly satisfied with the lineup that Poch played today. Insert Richards and I’m cool with it. Let’s go beat Paraguay (who sadly just lost their best scorer to injury).

Undefeated at calling goals. Freaking awesome. I could watch that over and over.
Need to play forward more aggressively, especially in the final 10-15 minutes down by a goal.
Possession doesn’t matter if you can convert it to attempts and ultimately goals. As a Liverpool fan, I know this all too well!

So it seems like Goldman Sachs is basically saying here that the USA’s group is almost a lock to send three teams through. But in saying that, they’re also saying it’s one of the most competitive ones because every single team in the group has a 60% chance or better at advancing out of the group stage. Also, they like Turkey the best in our group. I was surprised by that.
As for the elimination rounds: pairing the US against Iran is just diabolical. And getting bounced by Argentina seems sadly prophetic.
I don’t think that schedule is right unless there have been some changes today.
UMSNT plays Turkey on Thursday June 25th at 10pm. Not on the 18th.
They play Australia on Friday June 19th at 3pm not on the 25th.
It also has Iran playing Belgium twice in group D.
Looks like it has several errors.

Did not watch this one. Sounds wild.
It was weird enough seeing Erling Haaland at UNCG, but this might top it: ![]()
