How would we go about getting a DMV issued, University license plate in South Carolina? App has had these for some time now.
First step is to contact the SCDOT.
There are like 80 different plates in SC so this shouldn’t be terribly hard to do.
The challenge in NC was getting 200 people to send in their money and order one. I believe that was the minimum before they would produce them. It took several years. Of course this was probably 20 years ago.
Does this require an “official” school rep to initiate?
It was around 2002 iirc.
I inquired with the alumni office a few years ago, when I lived in SC. I was told there wasn’t enough interest. So, I moved back to NC.
