Saw this article today about BofA naming a new sports marketing director. Could impact us. No mention of us in the article.
Um, I didnât see much in the article that would suggest we have a shot at BoA being a NAMING rights level partner for us. Looks like they promoted their baseball sponsorship guy to get a leg up on renegotiating the MLB contract to me.
In other BizJournal News:
Charlotte Law School doubles in size to 800 students, so kiss a UNC Charlotte School of Law goodbye! Canât wait till CMC and Presby get tired of Chapel Hillâs shell game and Duboisâs âslow-roadâ method and open their own Medical School.

I could see them being a sponsor, but not at a high level. They already have a partnership with the University in some areas but not sure about Athletics. Maybe an âofficial bank ofâ sponsorship but I would be surprised if it was naming rights on the stadium/concourses etc.
Isnât RBC the official bank of the Niners?
Yes, they are. Thanks to them, we were able to replace the old lite-brite scoreboard.

Across Harris Blvd., at the Promenade.
Also it helps that the key contact for the bank is a Charlotte grad who thinks that itâs important for his employer to be involved with his alma mater. Cool, huh?

Got ya. Didnât realize there was an RBC there⌠Iâd never noticed any RBC branches west of Raleigh.
there is an RBC in Clemmons, NC.

Knowing little about marketing, I would say itâs a good move on their part, right in the middle of BofA country.
[quote=â49erAlumnus, post:12, topic:23939â]There are three branches in Charlotte plus an atm on campus:

One in Monroe.
Thereâs an RBC in Winston-Salem as well.
At least 1 if not more in Gastonia.
RBC=Royal Bank of Charlotte?
