Streaming question

The Niner Nation All Access subscription only gets home games, right?

Does the ULive subscription include home and away games? I had it last year, but attended every home game so I’m not really sure.

Thanks.

Thanks.[/quote]If you sign up for the $15/mo package through ULive or whatever CBS is calling it these days, you can watch any game, home or away, against a school that uses the ULive/All access platform.

ULive and All Access is the same service. CBS has done a terrible job branding (and executing) that platform.

Did this service last year and was not too impressed. CBS needs to improve the streaming quality, though part of that may be my crappy internet service. They also need to cut down on the technical issues (seemed like every other game had an issue last year). I was primarily interested in watching replays since I’m often busy at the tip-off of games, but I think hardly any games got archived to be watched again. Not sure I’d do it again. I’m glad they put something up for streaming, and I think this is how the video makes it’s way onto the free sites, but it’s hard to justify the expense for that product.

If I recall correctly someone said the streaming quality was because of the universities equipment and it would be very costly to upgrade. Maybe football will make it happen.

Yes, you’re at the mercy of the schools and their equipment. (ECU is BY FAR the worst feed).

For home games the video quality is actually pretty decent by comparison to all other schools and I like the guys calling the game (I guess its the radio feed). My largest complaints are that there are no replays and they switch to the camera under the basket when the ball goes inside…really annoying since I have missed ALOT of nice finishes because of this.

My recommendation - $15 is well worth it if you’re not going to catch the games any other way.

I purchased it… I’d rather not rely on bootleg overseas sites that work sporadically at best on my mac.

I will say that they have done away with the under-the-basket switch… the view stays out, and I actually enjoyed watching the game last night. Would have been nice to have a running clock on the screen, though.

The home games aren’t too bad. Last night’s upper camera had some connection issue which is why they went to the lower angle more. ECU has the worst by far.

You should get a stop watch and keep time yourself :))

At least the clock under the scorer’s table is large enough to see it as the ball comes up the court.
